My Merriam Webster's Collegiate Dictionary 1993 under the word sodomy refers to the homosexual proclivities of men of the city in Gen 19:1-11 (13c). 1. copulation with a member of the same sex or with an animal 2. noncoital and especially anal or oral copulation with a member of the opposite sex. A sodomite is one who practices sodomy.

Do not let those who engage in sodomy determine what you will call their behavior. "Gay" is a deceiving euphuism.

I do not bash sodomites. I oppose sodomy because the bible opposes sodomy. Sodomy did seem to contribute grealy to the destruction of a whole city in Genesis 19.

I oppose all sinful behavior. The Bible must be our authority.

There's a simple fact that those in favor of "alternative lifestyles" seem to ignore. When they claim God made them the way there are, they're affirming God made me the way I am. Indiscriminately lustful as respects the opposite sex.

God also made women as they are, with whatever factors encourage lust in their hearts.

We men, and women, must submit our sexuality unto the Lord, and follow what He commands and teaches about it (He said that those who loved Him would follow His commmands and His teachings.

If you're claiming to be a believer, which Romans 10:9 states is someone to whom Jesus is Supreme in Authority, then I see no way one can engage in activities God says are an abomination and worthy of death.

That goes for heterosexual men and women, and others as well. I'm not under different commands in that respect.

Brother Lew,

The church (at large) seems to struggle with the concept that God created man and woman for a purpose. The anti-Christ teaching is that homosexuality and adultery are just part of the churches life. The church proves this by lack of restoration.

The point of the post is to encourage ministers of the gospel to “test the spirits”, instead of bludgeoning the sinner. During my lifetime I have seen churches (Baptist in this context) struggle with this message. Many like to throw barbs at the sinner, when Christ is instructing us to “test the spirits”. “Testing the spirits” is much more difficult than simply hurling insinuations because it takes hard work in order to teach the truth of sexuality. The anti-Christ teachings concerning homosexuality and other sexual deviation (overlooking of adulterous relationships) are coming from within the church (not necessarily Baptist) these days and we would do well to have an answer.

How would you address an individual in your church that confesses his or her homosexual tendency to you?

Blessings,
Chris

I'm sorry, but I don't understand what this post is about. Can someone clarify for me?

On of the biggest questions I have is, where and who is creating/teaching a "deliberate deceptiveness" in their sexuality?

Thanks,
Lew
