New Team Member!

Just a bit of news from the IMPACT team today… we’d like to announce a new IMPACT contributor, Dave Miller!
Dave is the pastor of Southern Hills Baptist Church in Sioux City, Iowa, and is a past president of the Baptist Convention of Iowa. He is a graduate of Southwestern Seminary, and has served churches in Florida, Virginia, and, most recently, Iowa. He has been married to Jennifer for 31 years, and has three sons and a daughter. Dave has a passion for writing, and blogs over at “This Tent’s Just Right”, and “WORD Processing”. He’s also a huge Yankees fan, so don’t hold that against him!
We’re glad to have Dave join our team, and are confident you’ll enjoy what he brings to the site!

I too wish a warm welcome to Brother Dave. Just out of curiosity, are there any non-pastor/elder/missionary and/or staff contributors to SBC Impact?

We have bios for each of our contributors accessible via the “contributors” link at the top of the page. Hovering over that link brings up a list of links to contributor blogs, but if you just click on the word “contributors” itself (rather than the list of links), it takes you to the bio page. I probably should modify that functionality a bit, as it is a bit confusing.
To directly answer your question, there are two that would fall into that category… myself (I’m strictly a layman), and Bowden (depending on whether you consider transitional pastor as part of your list).
BTW, I should make it clear to everyone that we’re always open to suggestions for new contributors, whether “nominated” (in true Baptist fashion) or volunteers. Just give us a shout via the “contact us” link at the top of the site, and our team will get in touch to discuss.

Having Dave Miller being added as a Member/Contributor of this Blog is Great. Dave will bring a lot of God’s Love and Commen Sense to this Blog. I have E-Mailed another Name that would be Highly Regarded IMHO, that brings Honor and Glory to God’s Word.
