Change Is Here.

The wait is over. Change is here.
For the past fifteen months, sbc IMPACT has been privileged to host first class discussion lead by some first class contributors. Today, we’ve got a first class site to match.
We hope that all of you enjoy our new look!
Most of what you see should be self-explanatory, but here’s a few of the highlights:
- On the main page, you’ll note we’ve adopted more of a “magazine” type of layout, with a headline article, feature articles, and defined sections of our site (Baptist Life, Church & Ministry, Bible :: Theology :: Faith, News & Culture, and Impact Features).
- We’ve also added the “IMPACT Link” and “IMPACT Video”, where we plan to feature websites and video clips that may be of interest to our site.
- Comments now feature gravatars, that feature your photo (if you choose to add one). Visit gravatar.com to set up yours.
- We’re now actively tagging our posts, so that our readers can access a wide variety of topics quickly. Check out the “Tag Cloud” in the right sidebar, and click on the topic that interests you.
- We now have a Cafe Press store, featuring sbc IMPACT gear! All products are sold at Cafe Press cost… no markup whatsoever!
Of course, it should be noted that we’re still in the process of moving into our new site. Not all of our old articles have been categorized to fit in our new sections, so if you have trouble locating any of your favorite articles or features, give us a shout. Perhaps even more importantly, if you run into any problems with the site itself, we DEFINITELY want to know.
Before I close, major thanks are due to my good friend Micah Fries. Not only is he an awesome person and a great pastor in our convention, he’s a top notch graphic artist! This new layout would not look NEARLY as nice without his help.
Enjoy!

excellent classy look, congratulations.
SBC Impact just keeps raising the bar higher and higher!
John,
Love the new look, man. Can’t wait to learn how to use it.
John,
You’ve done an awesome job with the site. Thanks for your good work!

Wait, does our new professional look mean I have to write more professional, um, professionally, uh, better?
Just kidding. Great job, John and Micah. Thanks, guys, for helping us communicate truth in a compelling way.
It looks nice, good work guys.
Congratulations on a job well done. Is there still time for one request? A button to enlarge the text without having to enlarge the whole screen? Some of us have eyes that aren’t as young as they used to be. Thanks!
J
Sorry about that, my computer went down. Brother Harper has the right idea. I need that button.
Are you sure you guys just don’t need bigger screens?
Like the new look
If you have internet explorer and want your text bigger, go to the top right portion of the page, then click “Page,” then “text size” then choose how big you want your text to be. You can also “zoom” your page there to make everything bigger.
Now I have a tech question:
How do I make my new gravatar work?
Yay! Nevermind.
It works now.
Any tips on why my gravatar is not working? Shane? Anyone?
Got it. And a good likeness it is, too.
I really like this theme. Nice, clean and classy.
