Quotable – Frank Page

“I have been called names that I have not been called in my entire life. As you might remember from last year’s annual meeting, I do not like to be “yelled at” and this has brought out some redneck reaction in me, to be totally honest … I continue to stand by the content of this document and believe that it is needed and appropriate.”
Frank Page, Southern Baptist Pastor and President of the Southern Baptist Convention, responding to criticisms of the recent “Southern Baptist Climate and Environment Initiative.”

Bro. Frank,
I hope you ain’t mad cause somebody called you a redneck ? I just wanted you to know that a lot of us rednecks love Jesus to ! My point is don’t get mad just be glad cause all rednecks can come up with a solution to remedy our feelings and still be Happy in Jesus !
Its easier for a person not to lower themselves to somebody’s standard as long as you believe in yourself and continue to do the best you can in serving our Lord ! I wouldn’t worry about all the name calling as long as everybody called you on time at dinnertime ?
Blessings.
Ron.
A Curious Visitor …
I have noticed a very curious visitor to the site.
This morning, this “quotable” post from yesterday was viewed at 9:07 through a server in Nashville, Tennessee. StatCounter identified the hostname as “mail.ecosbc.com”
I attempted to visit the web site ecosbc.com, but the server was not found.
Does anyone have any idea what this is? ecosbc?
Most likely Executive Committee, and not Eco-SBC. Though that would be an interesting development.
Bro. Frank,
You were called for this hour, and you tenure as president has been most commendable.
